About us · Co-founder, the Irish half of the Banvilles
Laurence Banville
Laurence runs the business side of BanVoyage: the website, the tech and the gear that keeps four people charged on the road.
Laurence grew up in Ballykerogue, near Campile in County Wexford, Ireland, playing soccer and Gaelic football and winning medals for his drawing. His travels started at University College Dublin, where he studied business and law and spent a year at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, taking his classes in French. He has also walked 200 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain for charity.
Near the end of college he met Brooke, an American visiting friends in Dublin, and moved to the United States: first to Philadelphia, then to Delaware County, where they married and now live with their daughter and son.
Away from BanVoyage, Laurence is an attorney licensed in New York and Washington, D.C., and Managing Partner of Banville Law, a New York personal injury firm. He is also an entrepreneur and digital marketer: he co-founded the law-firm marketing agency AG Conexus, built and sold an HVAC company, and advises businesses on marketing and AI through Banville Consulting.
He still gets back across the Atlantic to watch Newcastle United, his team since childhood, has adopted the Phillies, and spends a lot of weekends at his kids’ gymnastics, baseball and soccer.
